Did anybody notice Marquez letting Bradley off the hook several times?

I know Marquez isnt a come forward pressure fighter but alot of the rounds werent won in shutout clear rounds won by bradley. Their were several times Marquez had Bradley against the ropes amd didnt make him pay. Just let him circle out. I mean even Floyd capitalized everytime canelo was against the ropes. I just feel like if Marquez would have threw more at these times he could have stolen more rounds on the judges cards.

I know people will bring up the 12th rd ending but marquez was swinging like a wildman trying to put on a show to close the show. Anybody would have got caught swinging like that. Their were times they were against the ropes and marquez outgunned him so dont give me that crap.

Maybe it was just his age but I knew going in if marquez didnt pull the trigger more itd be a long night. I still think it was a close fight that could have gone either way. Watch it again with no volume and youll understand. Ledermans card was crazy imo. Still a good fight. Enjoyed it alot more and was my favorite chess match of the year over rigo vs donaire.

he was trying to close the show... while Bradley ran. Marquez came on with disregard for himself. He remembered the 3rd Pacquiao fight and how he got criticized for not closing

that's what you call the heart of a Champ

Exactly. I just think if he would have made bradley pay other times he had him against the ropes people would of had no choice to see it as the close fight it was. HBO was horrible. There were times marquez would land and bradley wouldnt but lampleys senile ass would be like "big left hook" from bradley. It happened a few times.

1st time watching I could see a case for bradley winning more of those close rounds but with the sound off it literally could have easily gone in marquezs favor.

Thats the thing, some of the rounds were close. Bradley was landing more specially jabs but Marquez was pressing the action and he seemed to be landing the harder more solid shots. I guess it depends on what style you prefer. I gave alot of those close rounds to Marquez so I had it closer than most people, but HBO was aweful tonight their bias was more clear than other times.. Lederman's card was a joke, although he's had Marquez losing in all 4 Pacquiao fights so that gives you an idea of his bias against Marquez or his style

Max was all over Marquez, though. I had Bradley up, just watched the fight. There were some rounds Bradley won with the jab alone, leaving Marquez floundering a bit trying to find him. Its those rounds he put in the bank and plus he got Marquez attention with a couple shots in some other rounds. Good chin, more activity, smart boxing.

And clearly Bradley was trying to do a Mayweather on Marquez, as I predicted he would. This whole bit about how it was gonna be a war like the Prov fight was nonsense.

            omg..

this was irritating as fuck, and it happened so many times too. I was disgusted but didn't expect any less from HBO.

To be fair max just kept saying their may be a few rounds that marquez could have taken to make it a closer fight. But he also kept saying I agree with how everybody else has this.

The jab was bradleys bread and butter in this fight and it did get to marquez. Im just saying their were multiple times marquez would land in exchanges and they just kept mentioning bradleys shots just like they would in all the marquez-pac fights though those fights were much clearer for marquez imo.

I didnt think bradley was fast enough to be as slick as floyd so I thought itd be alil more action packed but I still dont think it was a bad fight. Think it was a better scrap then canelo floyd as far as competitiveness goes and the intensity in some of the exchanges. I too though had a hard time seeing it as another provk vs marquez unless marquez could hurt him. Bradleys got a hell of a chin though.

Yeah, I saw Marquez letting Timmeh off the hook after nailing him with a good shot. I was really surprised by that. Marquez usually knows when he's hurt an opponent, and then capitalizes on it.

Lampley does that in every fight. Big reason I tune the commentary out.
