Assuming Rigondeaux and Mayweather were in the same weight class who would take it? I think Mayweather would have the edge just because of the world class opponents that h3 has faced...but them again damnnn Rigondeaux is a beast. I would kill to see them fight.

I'd probably say Rigondeaux. He has better footwork and technique. His chin wouldn't be a factor against Mayweather.

I don't know it's impossible to say. Usually such matchups, when all other things being equal you have to go by their experience/accolades and obviously at the lower weights even, Mayweather has accomplished far more and fought far better guys. I.e. proven himself against far better guys so there's reasonable doubt that Rigondeaux would not be able to compete with Mayweather.

We've never seen Rigondeaux truly tested yet. We've seen Mayweather tested and have found out that there seems to be no end to his will power and motivation in a fight. We don't know that yet about Rigondeaux and how big his heart is and mental will power

Rigo is nowhere near as complete as Floyd and thats not even including the pro experience. Floyd figures him out after 4 rounds and never looks back

he dont have better footwork or technique. Just looks like that because he's a Southpaw. Its always way easier for Southpaws

Yea, I know where you're coming from, but idk Rigondeaux did make Nonito Donaire look like a C fighter. That must count for something.. acknowledging nonito was consider #1 in that division

that's true but Donaire is very one dimensional compared to many of the top guys Floyd beat. He's just a ****er

I agree with you though, think mayweather would beat him. Rigondeaux has to prove himself, but I will say this. I truly believe the only person on this planet who actually has a chance of beating money is rigondeaux not one dimension pacquiao.

Basically, this is a P4P question. I have to say Floyd wins this match-up. But it's a testament to Rigo that I even have to think about it.

I favor Floyd in this fantasy match-up as well but you're way out of line saying Floyd figures Rigo out in 4 rounds and that's that. It would be a chess match throughout and Mayweather will be fighting a guy who: is a southpaw, is technically brilliant, is equally good defensively, and knows how to make adjustments. There isn't a guy on Mayweather's resume who fits that criteria so he'd be facing a very big challenge.
