Can you imagine your 3rd pro fight and you have to fight a top 5 P4P fighter in his prime? It just seems nuts but whatever if bob makes it i'll definitely be watching.Comment

Let me answer your question sir, although I hate to go back and forth on such matters because no one can ever really reach an agreement and it's why I said it was just an opinion in the first place. Vasyl Lomachenko hasn't made his official proffesional debut, however he does have about 400 amateur fights with only one defeat which he officialy avenged twice. He has two olympic gold medals and plenty of other medals in major amateur tournaments. But that's not all, even though he hasn't made his official pro-debut, it is not because he hasn't fought as a pro but because he was able to keep his status as an amateur in order to still be eligible to compete in the olympics. You see there's a unique tournament called The World Series of Boxing where some of the top boxing amateurs in the world compete as professionals without head gear and with the same rules as proffesionals but without loosing their amateur status so they can go on to represent their country in the olympics. If you do a quick youtube search, you will find that that is where Vasyl Lomachenko made his unofficial professional debut. So yes in my opinion (which can differ from other peoples opinion), Lomachenko has earned a little more early respect then your average boxer who is officialy debuting, due to his unique accomplishments.Comment

Not all two times gold medalist winner will going to be successful or champions in professional. Now everybody is looking to those amateur champions just because the success of Rigondeaux or Gamboa, but they have a Cuban school. The Russians are good fighters and I'm not speaking for Lomatchenco but for instance Lou Zimming for me doesn't have any chance in professionals. Lomatchenco can have it because the Russian school has tradition like the Cuban, but please not all amateurs comes from good schollsComment

my man , rigondeaux , beats anyone at 122 . he will beat agbeko and will make another satement . rigo got this fight and one more under top rank , arum wants him to loose before he goes elsewhere . but if this fight is made at 122 , rigo will school this guy , who last fought at 130 for gold medal . if lomachenko can make 122 , rigo fights him , and he will beat him too.Comment

Bob Arum, shoving the WBA boxing rankings up the president's and the top contenders' sttub once again. A lot of boxers sacrificing themselves through the rankings for years in order to get their chance, and this clown doing whatever the uckf he wants to do with boxing, by even wrapping the gift for this still amateur boxer. In order words, not earned! What a shame!Comment

This fight is never going to happen because Rigondeaux is never going to re-sign with Top Rank. That's the ONLY way Arum would even consider making this fight next year - PERIOD.Comment

This would be a great fight as long as it's not a catchweight fight and as long as Lomachenko doesn't have to move down to junior featherweight. This fight has to go down at the featherweight limit or Lomachenko will be at a competitive disadvantage in my opinion. In my opinion both of these guys earned the early respect they are receiving in the pro-ranks due to their particularly outstanding amature backgrounds.Comment
