The term "blockbuster" refers to a an event that passes a certain amount of revenue

In movies its "A blockbuster motion picture is a film that receives gross ticket sales of US$400 million or more internationally or $200 million or more in the United States and Canada (which acts as one market for cinema)."

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blockbuster_motion_picture

In boxing terms, it would have to sell over 1 million PPV buys to be considered a blockbuster and this will be lucky to do over 200k

i think itll do around 400k since the card is loaded with names but your right this is far from a blockbuster, its a firm test to see if broner cant hang with the hitters i think maidana will fight smart and give broner some trouble early

Lol @ you using wiki to back your argument - credible source And to say this card won't do over 200k buys is just asinine. Please don't talk to me about boxing anymore

            • That's what I'm talking about! Good undercards, take note top rank.

              • Very well put together card, only issue is that it shouldn't be on PPV.

Kirkland knew how to handle himself on the inside and Molina's spoiling tactics really neutralized him there. And that was against a bigger, stronger, more determined pressure fighter than Ortiz.

I'm not any kind of fan of Molina, but he does little subtle things in there that he doesn't get too much credit for. His footwork, for example; really gives off the impression of being a pressure fighter, but he generally doesn't stay in range after getting off. Makes him pretty difficult to read and time (even for a pretty good counter puncher like Lara.)
