They keep feeding Magdaleno crap instead of matching him up like they do ShowBox fighters against other prospects to see what he is made of. And Narh just got stopped in his last fight so this is not what Vargus should be fighting at this point.

Varga's two best claims to fames are when he beat Nate Campbell and when he briefly - very briefly - was a name to be considered against Amir Khan when Khan was considered hot.

Prospects should fight other prospects who are at the same level in order to eventually be considered real contenders for world title shots. Most prospects are matched against soft competition and then out of nowhere expect to be taken serious by everyone and ask for world title fights. I think boxers like Jessie Magdaleno have potential but in order to develop strong and in order for boxing enthusiasts to take him seriously and want to watch them fight the best, they need to be brought along with better competition.

Regarding Jessie Vargas, he has been mentioning Juan Manuel Marquez's name and saying he wants to fight him. How is anyone supposed to take that seriously and be interested when tomorrow he will be fighting a 35 year old journeyman that's coming off a TKO defeat. Jessie Vargas has potential too, but unless he's fighting respectable competition that desserves higher profile fights, he shouldn't be asking for them.

Vargas got major respect last time i seen him on showtime or was it hbo, where he fought another undefeated fighter and they were hurting eacher and Vargas was able to dig deeper and won the fight. Such a great fight, so much heart shown by both fighters and although Vargas won, seems like he still trying to move up the ladder when i thought after this fight he was going to fight for a title.
