Daniel Santos, the former welterweight and junior middleweight champion, has not fought since losing the latter title by unanimous decision to Yuri Foreman in 2009 in New York. Santos, 38-years-old, is preparing to return to the ring on December 7 on a card being held at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum, Bayamon, under the promotion of Anthony Rivera. Santos is an Olympic bronze medalist.
Coming into the fight with Foreman, Santos (32-4-1, 23 KO's) had issues dropping weight and killed himself to make 154-pounds. By the night of the fight he rose by 19-pounds and felt weak during the entire contest.
