Garcia has underrated skill but he was actually being out-boxed by Matthysse until the Round 7 eye injury.

How was he being outboxed, most people had him ahead even before the injury. By round 5 or 6, I could tell from Matthysse's facial expression that he didn't think he could live with Garcia and started to drop his work rate and hedge his bets on a big shot....little did he know Garcia has a terrific chin, some of the shots he took were BIG.

I'm afraid they didn't. From what I've read most had Matthysse up, although some had it even, few had Danny up.

On the night, I had it 3-3 after 6. Re-watching it it was 4-2 or 5-1 to Matthysse, Garcia's shots were actually getting blocked for the most part when Matthysse could see them coming. There's a reason his Dad slapped him in the face after the 6th, which almost everyone gave to Lucas, DG had to switch it up as he was falling behind.

Well if your gonna go insulting him because he won't accept your bet, you must be pretty confident. I'm saying you sir are wrong and a fool if you think Marquez will win. So If you really believe in your judgement 5/10 million points would be a small price to pay to have me banned for a month. There's absolutely no way Garcia should have been up on any card after 6. 3-3 or 4-2 Matthysse. Lucas' best rounds were 5 and 6, and it looked like he was taking control.

lucas looked very one-diminsional, i wont say he was exposed as hype, i just feel he has hit his ceiling which is right below elite,,

lucas can beat the petersons of the world, but garcia, floyd, broner possible would be too much for him skill wise....

i always say bet on the guy with better skills and you will win about 85-90% of the time....

I would still like to see a rematch at some point and lucas vs broner, maidana, ghost, ortiz

I agree with your assessment of the fight but imo Lucas's eye had more to do with poor fortune on his part than Garcia finding his groove. Garcia did come out with purpose in the 7th round but no one could've predicted the level of swelling from what looked like an innocuous punch.

I hate that word with a passion. Especially when it's used wrong.

When you lose it doesn't automatically mean you are exposed.

Exposed is something like Hopkins schooling Pavlik. Pavlik was thought of as the great white hope. Matthysse fought well and the fight was close. He didn't get schooled.

exposed = when a hype machine gets thoroughly schooled and had no chance to win.

Garcia was Clearly ahead after the first six. Your lying to yourself if you says lucas was up. And Ill take that bet if you'd like but I'd rather points if Bradley wins rather than you being banned?
