Its a real shame this fight never happened, it would have showed how superior Floyd was to this overrated, possible cheater. The following is NOT an excuse for the why the fight shouldn't have happened, it's merely my take on the fight if it happened, because it was an intriguing match up:
Unless Margarito would have used plastered wraps, Floyd would have won this fight and easier than people think.
Margarito had a great chin, great will power and stamina. That's about it. He had no defense, was slow as hell and was a slow starter. Margarito was more or less just a rare freak who can take abnormal amounts of punishment. He relied on his opponents wearing down after 6 rounds, then he'd pour it on once this happened.
You see what happens when Margarito's opponent doesn't fold: He loses. Floyd has great stamina. He has the superior boxing skill, ring generalship, foot work, lateral movement and hand speed. To me that triumphs over Marg's attributes mentioned above.
No way Margarito would have been able to throw 1000 punches in this fight because the openings wouldn't be there. He'd land probably like 10% of all his punches. Floyd would be able to land 4 punch combinations before Marg even tried to throw a punch, and would get tied up in close.
Oh please. Margacheato would've missed so many shots trying to hit Floyd, one of the plaster inserts would've flown into the crowd and hit Bob in the head while he slept.
that video reminds me alot of this video where everyone again said Floyd was scared to death, nearly shat his pants, and would never fight him. The same guy who nearly decapitated Margarito. Destroyed him.
Months later, Floyd signs to fight him, its clear from day 1 of the pressers he has no fear of him, and dominates him just like the rest. Just like everyone said he would be scared of Canelo and then tries to backtrack now. He has no fear of these guys. Floyd just acts like that anyways. He stutters anyways and is a lil jumpy anyways.

Floyd waited to fight old inactive Mosley ..... even Floyd said "My game plan will take into account that Mosley is old (and inactive)."
