Normally your posts aren't ******, but this one was. Margarito is not a natural 147 lber. He walks around at a higher weight than that, this I can guarantee. Just look at the picture of him next to Winky. Winky is abover 154, and Margarito is the same size. Floyd started out at Superfeather weight, and has been fighting guys who are bigger than him for a while now, so don't start with this bull**** of fighting a guy his size. Size isn't even what Floyd utilizes, so that's a pretty assanine argument in the first place.



If no one is going to fight you in a division, aside from mandatories, you have two choices: Stay there and make no money, or go up and look for guys who are willing there.

Then what the hell do you think about Corrales fighting at lightweight?

Also, I'll say this again. No one knows who Margarito is (aside from boxing fans). The casual fan does not give two ****s about seeing Margarito fight anyone, because they don't know who he is. This is high risk-low reward for everyone who fights him. Why did people want the Gatti-Mayweather fight? Because they all know who Gatti is. Why would anyone want to see Mayweather fight Margarito? Exactly, they don't.

If the fight is low reward for him cause no one knows who Margarito is then why did Floyd fight Victoriano Sosa, Phillip N'dou, Henry Bruseles, Sharmba Mitchell? Casual boxing fans dont even know who those are also. Why hasnt Floyd added Margarito to his list if hes a nobody like the other nobodys hes beat? Atleast he'd get a belt by this nobody thats also recognized as the true welterweight Champ by the ring mag. You also forgot that Margarito has the Mexican fans behind him, Mexicans do know who Margarito is.

Do you realize what high risk means? Do you really thing that Sosa, N'Dou, Bruselles, or Mitchell posed a threat? No, no they didn't. Margarito does, and to lose to him is very damaging to their career, because no one knows who he is.

Also, numbers get thrown around on the internet all the time, and people say so and so offered this amount of money, and so and so offered this amount of money, but so and so didn't want this amount, etc, etc.

How many times do I have to post this.Margairto has been calling everyone out since he won his belt 3 years ago,from Delahoya to Winky to Hopkins.He will fight anyone even Floyd.I find it funny how some people make it seem like he is scared to Floyd,what does he lose? floyd wont KO him or hurt him.Why would he turn down millions to fight FLoyd?From what I heard Bob Arum made a 7 million dollar purse for a Floyd vs. Magarito match up.Even after Margarito agreed to 15% of this purse Floyd still turned it down.For all those that might say why would Floyd fight Margarito?I say why not? I think his best chance of fighting a top guy soon is if Shane Mosley will fight him next. Thats possible although Shane is probably gonna angle for a showdown with Judah/Mayweather.

That's mostly what I was responding to. Floyd is not fighting people his own size. Zab is started at Jr. Welter, while Floyd started at Super-Featheweight. Two different sizes. What you're asking is for Floyd to fight a guy who's naturally bigger than every welterweight in the division.

Margarito has a belt, yes, but the 7 million dollar offer is **** unless there are actual contract negotiations happening, which there weren't. The fight is still very high risk, and relatively low reward for anyone. They could make much, much, much more money if Margarito fought a few lower tier fighters (A guy like Gatti comes to mind), and made his name off of them, then there'd be more incentive for other top welters to fight him. As of now, there is a lot more incentive to NOT fight him.
