Floyd has always faired well in fantasy fights, mainly with fantasy fights with his peers like if he was to fight Pac, or Margarito or Sergio Martinez, or against DLH or SSM if they were in their prime.
That is now extended to guys like SRL, Duran, etc etc now.

Problem is he doesn't fight, greats in their primes, only green fighters who are weight drained and style wise good match ups. When he fights pressure fighters, the refs protect him.

Mayweather is the best boxer I've ever seen but I hate the idea of anyone saying he is the best ever. I think he's a truly gifted as a boxer and would be successful in any era. In my mind the best boxer is not only successful but has faced adversity in the ring and still finds ways to win. I'm not sure if Mayweather could take the punishment Ali did against Foreman and pull out a victory. I'm not sure Mayweather could survive the onslaught Hagler did against Hearns, tough it out with blood pouring down his face, and still find a way to win. There are many examples of great boxers facing adversity and still winning. Mayweather has been so good at winning, no one has really tested him. If Mayweather ever wins a match, where he has to pick himself off the floor, fight through a broken jaw, or something to that effect, the idea of saying he is the best would be much easier for boxing fans to swallow. Without such a signature win, I can only I agree he's the best fighter in this era, but not sure he is the best ever.

Mayweather is not the best ever, not even close, he hasn't fought guys in their prime, he ducked Pacquiao in his prime. please just stop.

There are guys who are better than him, Floyd has skills yes but he is not the best ever, idiots buying into Floyds snake oil routine, got people believing his self hype and promotion.

Also that style floyd uses will be easy for those old school guys, Paulie needs to learn about why Floyd is hard to fight today because NOBODY teaches that style he uses, so boxers today have no clue on how to fight that old school style, but that style was a dime a dozen in the 1940s. That shoulder roll style fighters saw that every day in the gyms and knew how to face it.

The type of fighters who would give those old school fighters fits are the super aggressive, athletic unorthodox, fast guys.

Please, maybe in 2009 some people thought this but this is not the reality anymore. Most EVERYONE now understands why the fight wasn't ever made and looking beyond the fact that Pac has NEVER submitted to blood testing, Bob Arum played a major role in why that fight never happened.

Stop trying to re-write history. lol If you wanted to talk about ducking at least say Floyd ducked the #2 WW in Margartio to fight the #1 WW in Baldo because Bob Arum wouldn't pay him the amount of money he wanted. Let alone not allowing him to fight Hoya, Cotto, Hatton etc. In which he ended up doing once he left Bob while also making millions on top of millions more than Bob Arum would have ever paid him.
