...And Heredia has worked with USADA for years and was a witness for the federal government against Victor Conte. Ouch. Fail.Comment

No one thought of Marquez as a knockout artist before the 4th fight with Pacquiao. No one. But now people are actually fearing Marquez's killer right like he was Tyson or something. And isn't it seriously suspect that Memo jumped ship out of training Rios when VADA all of a sudden was the agency to do drug testing? Like WTF. Memo is a sinister gun for hire shooting needles into Juan's big biceps.Comment

All this steroid nonsense is convincing me that Bradley lacks confidence for this fight. It's a way for him to preemptively justify losing to Marquez. Why else would he do it? There's nothing wrong with USADA and no reason to believe that their tests are insufficient. Using VADA as well is wasteful and ridiculous, especially considering the conflict of interest between Heredia and Conte (which Marquez may not have known about when he agreed on TV). I can understand this tactic before the fight was signed, but why continue now? The fight is 4 days away. What does Bradley gain by implying that Marquez is using PEDs? Answer: an excuses to lose and save face.
Does anybody accuse Andre Ward of using PEDs because he uses Victor Conte? The fact is that Conte and Heredia along with all of the other top strength coaches in the world were supplying PEDs in the early 2000s because THAT WAS THEIR JOB AND WHAT THEIR CLIENTS EXPECTED. Most of what they supplied was perfectly legal. Why would any top strength coach not understand how PEDs work or give them to clients who wanted them back then? Conte and Heredia are obviously excellent at their jobs, which is why their careers continue.
As about anybody accusing Ward of using PEDs -- yes, there were many posters on this website who accused him because of Conte... (By the way: did or does Ward take USADA or VADA tests for his fights?)Last edited by MDPopescu; 10-09-2013, 03:51 AM.Comment

Bradley's demand to have both VADA and USADA involved is completely unrealistic as USADA stated that they have a policy against testing an athlete if another organization is involved. Quote:
“USADA will not conduct a testing program while another organization (other than the boxing commission who collects a fight night sample) is testing one or both fighters, as the other organization may not hold the fighters to the same standards as USADA, the athletes may be confused by differing protocols, and because the USADA program is required to remain consistent with the WADA Code and International Standards.”
Bottom line: Bradley is either misinformed or deliberately making misleading claims. And it's irresponsible of boxingscene to publish this article without including that critical part of the story or getting Marquez's side.Last edited by Guamar; 10-09-2013, 04:16 AM.Comment

Cut the Bulls1t! All of that was because of Pacquiao and maybe Lampley concern of Pacquiao losing to JMM which did happen ironically
But other than that these are the same idiots who was against extra Testing when Mayweather requested it only to come back 3 years later and pretend like they care after JMM bulked up for the Pacquiao fight
Keep eating that BS from HBO if you want but your a fool for doing so. If it was up to Arum they would rather continue to use Nevada State Athletic Commission Simple Urine Testing and that is allComment
