Comments Thread For: Chisora vs. Pulev in Play For EBU Title Showdown?

This fight makes no sense for Pulev. He has no incentive to fight Chisora. He already chose his path when he vacated the Euro title so he'd get to IBF mandatory challenger position. I'd be shocked if this fight happens before Pulev fights Wlad... It makes no sense to take a risky fight before the fight you've worked your whole career for. It is nonsense.Comment

Even if they don't enforce it soon, I can't see Pulev taking a risky fight at that time. If he has to wait for middle of 2014, he's probably going to take a tune up fight, but it definitely won't be against anyone too dagerous...Comment

Pulev has recently vacated the EBU belt. Why would he fight for it again?
I wouldn't mind this fight though. I would say Pulev would be a 60-40 favorite.Comment

Whose POV are you thinking from. If Pulevs team thought he did badly vs Thompson, surely they wouldn't put him in with Del Boy to risk he zero. If Frank thought Pulev looked rubbish, then maybe...
Pulev always fights like that. Like Wlad however, he wins.
I don't see Del Boy taking this; I think he'd simply be eating jab leather for 12 rounds. Not even a big risk for Kubrat (although Del is capable of the upset).
As has been pointed out before tho, Pulev wants Wlad, the only way this happens any time soon is if Wlad decides to make Kubrat wait. He doesn't need another year waiting around at this point in his career, though a softer stay busy sounds more likely.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 10-09-2013, 03:54 AM.Comment
