Cotto vs Sergio will be grand.. I got Cotto .. But better fights would be May vs Martinez in May.. And Cotto Vs Canelo in June.. I see Cotto vs Martinez a draw 50/50.. I see Cotto outboxing Canelo and i see Cotto giving Mayweather a hell of a rematch. Canelo proved to be a true hype job..too green ..too unexperienced.. Too slow.. And too out of his element vs May.. Cotto will box his ears off. Now, Martinez on the other hand does have what it takes if he isnt shot.. And is fully healed.

I'm not big on Cotto but to say he ducked someone is laughable

I'd like to see Martinez vs Golovkin too, but I'll take a Cotto vs Martinez fight. Martinez wins? Bring on Golovkin.
I like Cotto but like Floyd, he doesn't belong above 147. Horrible fight that is meaningless. Just like Khan trying to fight Mayweather. It's a horrible fight that is meaningless.

The only fights for Martinez that really interest me is GGG and Ward or even Mayweather if he dared tried to fight above JMW. Funny you mention Pac in this convo. When's the last time he even fought a legit WW? Let alone a legit MW. I mean really, that TR hype job is irrelevant to WW and JMW let alone MW. Just look at who he's been "fighting" for the last 3-4 years. Not top WW's, JMW's or MW's.

          Moving on......

Forget Martinez, Cotto would make more money fighting Alvarez. Martinez has no business fighting Cotto. Only fighter he would get a pass with that is smaller is Mayweather and that is for obvious reasons.

It sounds like Arum is already making excuses to avoid trying to make a Cotto/Alvarez fight. Saying he doesn't know if Alvarez is a free agent or is signed with GBP is the same type of nonsense that he spouted when he was avoiding the call for a Mayweather/Pacquaio fight in 2012. He claimed that he couldn't negotiate the fight because he didn't know who was representing Mayweather.

Now, he is claiming that he is not sure if Alvarez is a free agent. While he is waiting to find out, he will be busy trying to sign Cotto/Martinez and then Cotto/Martinez II or Cotto/Pac II at a catchweight.

Bullsh.t comes in many forms, but it all forms, it still stinks.

Canelo vs Cotto makes sense since they are both already in the same division and have styles that would mix well with each other to make a great fight, plus I think a lot of people including Canelo have been wanting this fight for quite some time now too so it makes sense also.
Cotto vs Canelo is the better fight

We all know Cotto and uncle bob want Sergio

Lets see what happens ill pull for Cotto if he fights Sergio

Now SCUMBAG Arum praises Sergio Martinez, when Arum was trying to keep him away from his fighters(from Cotto when he had a contract with Top Rank, Chavez jr & others) Arum was minimizing & bad mouthing Martinez & his promoter(DiBella)..

It's pretty clear what us fans want at this point, either a fight with Canelo or Sergio Martinez. I see him beating Canelo in an extremely close fight but losing lopsidedly to Martinez who has all the advantages in size and style wise.
