  • Anthony Crolla talks about fighting on the Froch vs Groves undercard

after his recent transition to new promoter Eddie Hearn and Matchroom promotions, Anthony Crolla one of the nicest guys in British boxing has opened up a possible title fight on the undercard of Carl Froch vs George Groves.

I caught up with Anthony to discuss becoming a father, break down his fights with Gavin Rees and Derry Matthews, discuss working with Eddie Hearn and his time working as a pundit on box nation.

    Cheers.

So many good fights to be made at domestic level at Lightweight. Coyle v Rees coming up, hopefully Mathews v Mitchell, and toss Flannigan into the mix as well who's going from strength to strength.

I don't think Ricky Burns will feature in much anymore. Either a rematch with Beltran or a fight with Crawford should end badly for him.

Depending on how his Jaw heals I can see Ricky coming back stronger than ever if it heals right we cant judge to harshly on the Beltran fight as he did battle a high percentage of the fight with a broken jaw so probably couldn't go through the gears as he would have liked.

Lightweight is a top weight class in the U.K at the minute lots of talented fighters same with super bantam as well with guys like Quigg, Galahad, Frampton and the guys coming up into that mix like Gavin mcdonnell and Michael Walsh.

Also some great talent for the future in various weight classes with the Evans brothers from Wales, The Uptons, Ryan Burnett who I cant say enough good things about just to name a few.

The future looks bright as well as the present with fights like Froch vs Groves, Haye vs Fury, Kell Brook vs Senchenko plus numerous other decent bills all taking place over the coming months in the U.K.
