No one was on here saying they were some serious threat and that Sergio was ducking them that is the difference, sure he could have fought him then people would say who did he beat? over hyped Jacobs?

That's because they weren't really and Pirog was. That was proved even more so when they all had success against Sergio

You have no evidence to support that, other than a win he has over a guy who's best win just occurred recently against Lorenzo years after being ko'd by Pirog.

              Empirical evidence. I have eyes.

It's like saying we have no evidence of GGG's potential threat cos he hasn't beaten anyone.

He has beaten a few guys or at least macklin who is much more proven than Pirog since he fought Sergio gave him a good go of it but got easy obliterated when he fought GGG, its some kind of measuring stick but we have no real measuring stick for Pirog at all.

Pirog ducked his own boxing career. He looked good against Gennady Martirosyan but looked ordinary against JMW prospect Maciel and Ishida.

Didn't realise a shopworn Matt Macklin was the measuring stick of worthiness. I apologise.

So you agree HBO was blackballing Pirog and wouldn't even consider giving him a date, but think they would be willing to give him a shot at the biggest fight in division for a huge pay day?

I don't see anything wrong with the Macklin fight. He was a top 3 fighter in the division.
