    Valuev targets Williams & Skelton

WBA heavyweight champion Nikolay Valuev expects his first defence to be against either Danny Williams or Matt Skelton.
Williams defends his Commonwealth crown against fellow Englishman Skelton in London on Saturday, 25 February.

"I'll be watching the fight with interest," said Valuev, who outpointed John Ruiz for the title last December. "The winner will be my next opponent."

Valuev, who hails from Russia and is 7ft tall, had been tipped to defend his belt against America's Owen Beck.

The "Beast from the East", unbeaten in 43 fights, also said he would like to tempt Britain's former world champion Lennox Lewis out of retirement.

"It would be great to fight him," said the 32-year-old. "I have a very high opinion of him."

Lennox is retired so who cares? Ali would have whooped his ass too but does that really matter? All the heavies are a joke right now, perhaps with the exception of James Toney. At least Valuev seems somewhat humble and like a relatively good guy (aside from beating up 60 year old security guards).

Because it would have been a BOREFEST, unless Byrd got caught.

This is all bull****. I have it from a very reliable source that the next Valuev's fight will be a re-match with that senior citizen security guard, this time in Germany.

Haha, yeah. Wasn't he suppose to fight Owen Beck? Whatever the guy still needs to work on his game even thought he is a world champ.
