Comments Thread For: Marquez: Canelo, Chavez Have To Learn From Mistakes

Mexican icon Juan Manuel Marquez is hoping the next generation of Mexican fighters, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., learn from their recent defeats and mistakes in the ring.

Canelo suffered his first career defeat when he lost a twelve round decision to the far more experienced Floyd Mayweather Jr. on September 14. In September 2012, Chavez Jr. lost a twelve round decision to current WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez. Chavez then struggled to make weight for last month's fight against Bryan Vera, and won a controversial ten round decision.

In the Vera fight Chavez was showing some great boxing like a high punch accuracy and he was dodging a shet load of Veras attacks. He was just being lazy. too buzy ****ing that hottie most likely.

Canelo shouldn't me mentioned in the same sentence with Jr. Canelo lost NOTHING in his loss to Mayweather.

He fought the best and went 12 rounds with him. Jr can't even make 170lbs anymore and is a disgrace to boxing. His heart just isn't in it and he had no hunger.

Canelo is going to be a great name in this sport for many years.

They should both hire Angel Memo Heredia.. That would make a huge difference on their strength and conditioning..

as far as canelo goes, he really got thrown in the fire pretty early lol. As far as mistakes go, I mean how much could you possibly learn as far as mistakes. He just fought someone on another level.

Canelo has a lot to learn about in the ring. Chavez has a lot to learn about being a professional out of the ring and a lot to learn inside the ring.

                Huge difference.

Lets just keep it real, Golden Boy set up Canelo to be this next Super Star and Floyd hit the nail right on the head.. "Who has he beat"..... GBP put fighters in their to market Canelo but honestly he hasnt really done much as of yet.. I would even good deep and say Cotto gives Canelo fits if they were ever to fight

Also, Canelo needs to hook up with some better trainers cause that game plan for Floyd was terrible.. Canelo and Nacho would be a great team..

As for Chavez, hes disgracing the Chavez name...
