That was the whole point of this fight. If Rodriguez would had been competitive in the fight it would had meant that Cotto was done at fighting at the higher level.

The way he handled this fight shows that he has gas left in the tank and is still able to compete at the highest level

Cotto could feel from the very start of the fight that Rodriguez was scared and had absolutely nothing to offer. That made Cotto very confident and he went for the kill. Cotto executed well and took care of business but I'm afraid Rodriguez made Cotto look too good. I don't believe that the old Cotto is back or some **** like that.

Rodriguez isn't a terrible fighter but he is not as good as Cotto and how Cotto fought that fight was not something he was prepared to handle.

That approach is not likely to work as good on a better opponent and it could actually cost Cotto because he has issue fighting at a high tempo for the whole fight.

All of the above. Rodriguez was put there to make Cootto look good but Cotto showed that he has more left then people thought. How many times have we seen fighters just look a lil good and win fights by decision when we expected a thrashing??? Give him credit for disposing Delvin the way he did. And for anybody that doubts Cotto still, push for a fight between Cotto and Martinez. Simple.

Delvin went 12 rounds with Trout , and 24 with Wolak (who beat Foreman faster than Cotto). Me personally expected a close decision win for Cotto because of his last fight with Trout. In the Trout fight he looked slow , tired with no power it was just sad. This was a good win for Cotto, I give him credit for that.

What do you expect from back to back losses from the guy? To fight the Klitchs? It was a good stay busy fight and a good warm up bout under Roach haters gonna hate the same ones that can't sleep when Cotto wins and the ones in every Cotto thread LMAO.
