What if Ortiz finished the fight with his jaw broken?

He became the joke of the Boxing community since he quit but face it, 99% of Boxers wouldve done the same.

But what if he kept fighting through the fight? What if he had knocked Lopez out late in the fight with his jaw shattered? What wouldve been the reaction of the Boxing world?

I think it would have fully rehabilitated the damage done to his reputation by the Maidana fight.

And I disagree that 99% of boxers would do the same. We've seen more than a few broken jaws since that guys have fought through.

Ricky Burns finished strong after having his jaw broken in the 4th. That puts in some perspective.

Ortiz mental toughness has been questioned twice. that is enough for fans to form a permanent opinion about you. He kind of saved himself with the Berto fight but the Lopez fight brought up those bad memories.

i think ortiz is the only one that did not fight with a broken jaw. i still get chills when miranda fought abraham and broke his jaw. Arthur pulled that win like a beast.

He'd be respected . A future fight with Canelo probably would've been delayed or never happen because of the time needed to heal that jaw. Ortiz had crazy upside, too bad he never went out his way to realize it.
