      ...........

Cotto should take the Canelo fight $$$

Beat his a $ $ up and go after May again or Martinez.

      Then retire.

He made that same offer to Manny also; he is willing to go down and fight two welterweights but not willing to go up and fight Andre ward.

right now the best $$ bout for Cotto is vs Alvarez, around February...doubt Alvarez/Reynoso would go 4 it...Cotto will do a # on him...

            GTFOHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
Relax with all your exclamation points and question marks. The answer is simple. He makes a whole hell of a lot more money fighting Cotto or Floyd than he does fighting GGG.

Let them sell Martinez vs Cotto to people that don't know anything about boxing. Those of us with real interest in true fights, know that if they want to talk about Cotto vs Martinez then they have to talk about Martinez vs Golovkin first. If Cotto wants to move to 160 that's his choice and he has the right to do that but if he wants to fight for a world tittle at 160 then he has to prove himself first, like everybody else.

Mr Boxing, you kinda shot yourself in the foot. When was the last time someone had to prove themselves when jumping weight divisions? For years, all they've needed is the hype and they would fight for a strap in their first bout.

Your Sergio/GGG theory has holes in it too.. GGG hasn't really proved himself yet. I like the kid and his crowd pleasing style, but he needs to fight legit MW's. It looks like father time has caught up with Sergio, so he wants to cash out with as little damage as possible. So the "Big 3 (or little 3)" makes sense, coz those guys are the cash cows right now.

You mean he challenged some guys who were fighting for HIS belt? >__>... And he was forced to move UP and fight bigger men at 160? I'm sure you watched boxing back then right? >__>... You know.. The title no one wanted to challenge for because a certain someone held it and once it "became vacant" they moved up and were challenged by said champ? Oh heaven forbid he moved up to fight a very big 160 pound LINEAL champ and what was considered the guy said dudes ducked and widely considered a top p4p dog in P Will. Oh he should move up to fight Andre Ward so as to not inconvenience the guys who were big enough to fight for his title so long as he didnt hold it? >__>... Excuse the natural 154 pounder for wanting to fight at 154. Let's not even begin to argue the irony in him facing Ward who HIMSELF says hes too big and wants to be at 175 to be more comfortable. You want Martinez to do something he already did, it's super silly.

People need to stop being so insecure with Sergio fighting a 154 pounder just because he's the lineal 160 champ. Cotto is trying to do what Martinez did how can anyone hate on that? Its the perfect time to fight him and the BEST chance he'll ever have to beat sergio. or is Sergio just held to a higher standard and expected to fight light heavys all the time?
