What if a ref started to penalise Wlad KLitschko?

If one of these refs who hates clinching was the ref in a fight like yesterday, he would warn Wlad repeatedly and start taking points. If it got to the point of threat of disqualification how would Wlad react? I can't even imagine him not being able to make use of his holding tactics.

It does not even take a biased ref in the other guys favor to penalize Wlad. It just takes a referee with guts, and someone who knows that his technique is illegal.

Klits tactics were to lean, grab and push his opponent until he gassed

Pov simply was exhausted because of the dirty tactics used by Wlad

Had Klit been warned from round 1 (and onwards) and they'd taken points off, he would have been forced to box or eventually been DQ'd

Pov wud have landed the right hand and possibly KO'd Wlad

Its obvious Wlad or Bonte or Booty whatever his name is, pays off refs

Yes, Povetkin was at fault too. But if Wlad was not extremely willing to hold him and instead circled him or tried to move back when Pov got on the inside, he would NOT have been going along with the holding.

I just can't fathom Wlad not clinching every single time somebody goes on the inside. I think a ref that would stop his tactics would cause Wlad serious problems.

he'd be ko'd obviously just like he was against sanders and brewster before he learned his holding tactics. he has no defensive construct to rely on except holding. he was taught that anytime someone is about to throw a punch you hold them so they can't punch. hes cheating and should be dq'd every time he fights.
