    A 154 Round Robin

I think a round robin of matches between Trout, Cotto and Canelo are a must. Trout lost to Canelo but beat Cotto, whereas the PR man has yet to face Canelo. These guys will pick up losses against each other if the fights happen, multiple bouts between the best light middles of their generation (not including Floyd in here since he may move back to 147 next time out).

What do you guys think about this? Who would come out on top? Do you think TR and GBP would put aside their differences and will HBO and ST work together like they did with Tyson/Lewis?
    11
    Miguel Cotto

    3
    Saul Alvarez

    Austin Trout

I bumped this up cos this is a real boxing discussion, you lot have to stop talking about Manny/Floyd and maybe get involved in boxing that matters.

If your talking about all of them just fighting each other without the help of Judges and without any controversy...I think Trout score a UD over BOTH but since would not be the case I think Canelo would find a way to defeat both. If they can get one judge to score a draw against Mayweather? Then that should tell you that the other fighters at 154 when they fight Canelo won't have a ***in chance unless they knock him out

I think you're exaggerating a lot, Cotto is as, if not a bigger name than Canelo right now, and noway does TR allow Cotto to fight a GBP guy without everything being on an even footing. Trout may have difficulty though but if he can pick up the pace in the tail end of the fight and make Canelo work, which I believe he can, I think he'd have a good chance of winning.

          I voted Cotto

Would be an excellent little tourney, but how about throw in Lara possibly Martirosyan and Adrade too. The problem of course remains that Cotto has switched back to TR (though kinda under his own banner as Cotto Promos) and 'Nelo is GBP all the way. Trout could fight either, but neither GBP or TR would wanna risk losing ground by a loss to Trout.

Bring in Lara, Martirosyan and Andrade, you have 2 TR, 2 GBP and 2 nominally indie, maybe something like a super 6 could be made but it'd still require an unlikely degree of co-operation between Broadcasters and Promoters.

thats actually a very good idea, but I just don't see Vanelo getting in there with any of the "secondary" names at 154, unless Lara gets a better win under his belt, maybe a Trout fight? The winner could get either of Canelo or Cotto but personally I wana see a Trout/Cotto rematch ASAP!

If Cotto fight Canelo I doubt TR will even be involved it will be Cotto go to work with GBP on his own.

Cotto is the bigger name but he is also on the downside of his career and lets be honest his career is almost over. While Canelo is the young guy and a key guy going into the future for boxing. Beating Canelo especially on the Cards is not going to be easy for anybody not named Mayweather

i don't think the judges can save Canelo, Cotto will beat him up at times.

To the other guy, noway should GGG and Martinez be involved with Cotto, they will kill him. Canelo v Martinez may make sense later on if Martinez is still fit and willing to make 154.
