Manny Pacquiao Vs. Brandon Rios: Better Than Floyd Mayweather Vs. Saul Alvarez?

It's still additional than five months away , still the feelings of anticipation are excellent for the November 23 clash in Macau, China between Manny Pacquiao and Brandon Rios.

Meanwhile, a different blockbuster will be getting place two months just before the one particular in Macau. It involves America's most significant boxing star against Mexico's most significant attract-and it's greatly anticipated as very well, just not in the exact same way.

Even as Golden Boy Promotions announces its ideas for an eleven town tour to hype their mega-combat, just as considerably curiosity and consideration is aimed at Pacquiao-Rios, even devoid of Top rated Rank having put in a greenback so considerably on advertising.

It is really not that Mayweather-Alvarez isn't a very good fight. There are several good reasons to imagine that "Canelo" could be Mayweather's hardest challenge because Jose Luis Castillo and, other than Pacquiao, there's no other opponent that tends to make a lot more sense for him to struggle. At the end of the working day, Mayweather-Alvarez is absolutely sure to do rather nicely as a spend-for each-see and it really is almost confirmed to outsell Pacquiao-Rios.

But, nevertheless, there's some thing about Pacquiao-Rios that's missing from Mayweather-Alvarez.

"Correct now we do not know the place Pacquiao is and where he's at physically and mentally after the impressive reduction he took," highly regarded coach Nazeem Richardson lately said in a video clip interview. "I've always acknowledged him to be a little difficult son of a gun, but we know that occasionally men do not bounce again from that sort of demise...An annihilation of that magnitude could set him in a area mentally the place we may well have noticed the previous of that Manny Pacquiao."

Certainly. What has turn into of Manny? What will develop into of Manny? What occurs when he requires his 1st flush shot or, most likely, if he will get wobbled by a punch? And what about "Bam Bam" Rios? He's rarely the form of foe you want to see if you are not 100%

"As we know, Brandon Rios is just a tough son of a gun," Richardson continued. "I've acknowledged him considering that the amateurs-- provide a lunch, no subject who fights him. He's gonna be rough, he's not gonna consider a back again step, he's not gonna back down."

This is hardly an straightforward tune-up for Pacquiao soon after a brutal knockout decline. Rios is a vicious, relentless thug in the ring and truly enjoys the brutality of the sport.

"It's gonna be an all out war," Rios told Doghouse boxing. "I assume it will be a bloody mess, he's gonna go nuts, I'm gonna go nuts, it is really just gonna be a excellent combat, you know. I say a war, a bloody war, that is what it really is heading to be."

The Mexican-American brawler also is aware fairly nicely what this prospect suggests to him and to his career:

"I've gotta make a assertion in this one, I've gotta go out with the earn...a win above him would set me on best of the entire world, it would get me out there with the huge, major names and almost everything."

Looking again at Mayweather-Canelo, while, we have a bout between two consummate industry experts who, even with a loss, would appear again and be just high-quality. A decline for Mayweather would cost him his cherished undefeated file, but would probably make for a bigger celebration upcoming time out as he seeks his revenge. A loss for Alvarez will be small more than a mastering knowledge for a 23-12 months-outdated foreseeable future superstar who will keep on to be a key player on the scene.

For the loser of Pacquiao-Rios, there may possibly be no tomorrow.

A 3rd consecutive decline for Pacquiao would very likely send out him into retirement and a total-time life of politics and showbiz. A reduction for Rios, contemplating that he lost in his past bout from Mike Alvarado, will stop him from signing up for the one% elite of the activity and keep him trapped in his position as entertaining supporting act.

That's the cause Pacquiao-Rios will likely be the much better, a lot more emotionally charged occasion. It is really a issue of evaluating two battlers in a must-earn circumstance with two chilly, calculating boxers in a boxing "party."

With any luck ,, each fights go on to be memorable wars, but the intelligent cash is on Pacquiao-Rios to overshadow Mayweather-Alvarez

The quality of the fight is not as good you could say, but I don't really care as Floyd vs Canelo was a glorified fencing match whereas Pac vs Rios will bring the action and show who's boss. Action packed night of boxing, no running or throwing 8 punches a round in this one.

What a pathetic desperate "article". Wouldn't be surprised if one of you simpletons wrote it. The desire to associate Pacquiao with Mayweater is becoming pitiful at this point.

Lol the hypocrite strikes again, all of Floyd's last 8 or so fights have been tailor made for him too

The only one that was not would have been Pac or Martinez which Floyd ducked

Pretty sure someone took this from a Spanish or Filipino language site and stuck it through Google Translate.

                    100 times better.

This is a action fight, I predicted Canelo vs. Mayweather will be a bore fest with Floyd boxing him like he did Baldomir to a decision win.

Its funny because the flowmos always say in order for a fighter to look good they must knock out their opponent, but they never demand the same from Floyd they call him a beast when he outboxes baldomir or guerrero and they keep bringing up he hurt his hand, dude a lot of fighters get swollen hands and still finish off or try to blitz flat footed fighters like Canelo or Baldo or Guerrero.

Pacqiuao vs. Rios is going to be an all out war.
