Nelo too young and strong for Cotto. Even revitalized.

Not in this lifetime. Alvarez has yet to soundly defeat any quality opponent. He has only fought four A or B class opponents (Mayweather, Lara and Trout and Angulo). He lost soundly to Mayweather and won disputed victories against Trout and Lara. He did manager to beat the overated journeyman and human punching bag named Alfredo Angulo, so you have to give him credit for that. However, he has done nothing to indicate that he is capable of soundly beating, let along knocking out a high quality opponent.
