Built like Tarzan fights like Jane

Wlad is an impressive specimen, the classic brains meets brawn with impressive athletic ability for a man his size.

So i am truly baffled why he chooses to fight like a *****, many have called Wlad china chinned but that is not the case he has had too won too many fights and won the gold and you CAN NOT do that with a bad chin.

Even the fighters that did stop him were punchers, and out of the three only one was a true spark out the others were him gassing and then panicking.

So his choice to fight this way is very disappointing for a fan of the sport we all love.

This is not a hate thread but i am just expressing my disappointment because i was hoping for an entertaining fight.

It's all about mental makeup...You can't change who you are. Wlad is a great boxer but I wouldn't say he's a great fighter. He looks so uncomfortable when he can't control the distance and the pace of the fight. Had Povetkin landed a big clean shot Wlad would've panicked big time. His brother Vitali is a beast though both mentally and physically.

Its all about the chin. The reason why he has managed to get away with it for so long is cuz he is much bigger than his opponents, longer reach and leans on them. If he fights some1 whos his size and some1 who is actually good young fighter he would get exposed. He was better than Povetkin in every single way but he choose the safe way which was jabbing and leaning, all because of his chin. If it were Vitali the guy would of been out in 4 rounds.

Me too and usually it is an exaggeration, but in this case it is an actual description of the fight and the fighter.

The man looked like a Greek God at the weigh in and the next day he fights like the cleaning lady.

It was a fight between two gold medal winners for god sakes.

I was watching the fight with a lady friend and the only question she asked was "Is that big guy hurt or something, is that why he keeps holding on to the little guy?"

Um ok, then maybe he could of tried something like boxing (head and foot movement, changing angels, pumping the jab) you know something novel like that.

Outside the ring Wlad is pure class but this fight he was anything but classy or sportsman like, and dare i say he was downright dirty
