Comments Thread For: Lederman Breaks Down Miguel Cotto-Delvin Rodriguez

BoxingScene.com: How do you see the fight between Cotto and Rodriguez going?

Lederman: “You know, I never make predictions on fights where I’ve got to keep score, and I’m certainly keeping score for HBO. But I think that Miguel Cotto and Delvin Rodriguez looks like a very good fight. Delvin’s a tough guy. He’ll come to fight. Miguel looks better than he’s looked in a long time. I mean, he really looks like he’s in great shape. So, we just hope that Miguel Cotto can come back and be the Miguel Cotto of old, and we’re happy to have him back to HBO.” [Click Here To Read More]

cotto is worn out, roach is overrated and can't do **** for cotto. i hope cotto wins this fight.but if rodriguez keeps coming and continues to hit miguel.eventually he'll be in retreat mode and his career should be done. my fingers are crossed.

As much as Miguel Cotto has earned my respect over the years I don't feel that he is going to pull this one off. He is a small JMW and his style is not catered to intimidate or beat naturally bigger fighters. I hope I am wrong though.

The thing is Cotto doesn't realize that he's really not a MW hes just too short.. but even If he loses this fight he shouldn't retire I think he should give it one more run at 147 still a lot of good fights for him there I'd love to see a Cotto-Garcia or Cotto-Broner even Cotto-Maidana a lot of good match ups plus he still owes his uncle that 2 mili so he has no choice lol...

He can't make 147, so all of those fights are impossible to make. He will fight someone willing to come to 154, someone already at 154, or someone at a catch around 157.

Sometimes you try to hard brother, Cotto will rip Rodriguez a new one, this is like when picking Foreman over Cotto.

Cotto will destroy this dude, period!

Rodriguez needs to bust Cotto up, slow him down and tire him enough in the first half of the fight to win -- if he can do this while moving, moving, moving he could actually stop Cotto late, who is far more past his prime than many people think...
