Super bantamweight contender Cristian Mijares (48-7-2, 23KOs) is expecting to recieve a bout agreement to face WBC champion Leo Santa Cruz (25-0-1, 15KOs) on November 2nd, likely at the StubHub Center in California. Mijares plans to review the contract, sign it and send it back. He already started training for the match. The World Boxing Council made Mijares the mandatory challenger to Santa Cruz, who knocked out Victor Terrazas in three rounds to capture the title on August 24th. Earlier this year, Mijares lost a close twelve round split decision to Terrazas.
