    Bradley-Provodnikov Revisted

I couldn't sleep last night so I decided to give this fight a concentrated viewing. What a battle! It was a very fun and compelling bout with great ebb and flow and shifts of momentum. Feel free to share your score cards, assessment, or notes from the fight.

    My Scorecard:

    Round 1: 10-9 Provodnikov
    * This round could have easily been 10-8, but it's debatable. However, I feel that the ref should have scored it a knockdown when Bradley turned into a drunken acrobat.
    Round 2: 10-9 Provodnikov
    Round 3: 10-9 Bradley
    Round 4: 10-9 Bradley
    Round 5: 10-9 Bradley
    Round 6: 10-9 Bradley
    Round 7: 10-9 Provodnikov
    Round 8: 10-9 Bradley
    Round 9: 10-9 Bradley
    Round 10: 10-9 Bradley
    Round 11: 10-9 Provodnikov
    * this round was extremely hard to score, probably the hardest round to score throughout the whole fight. I initially gave it to Bradley, but I though Ruslan edged it out.
    Round 12: 10-8 Provodnikov

    114-113 - Bradley

    Notes:

    - Second time Bradley shows lapses of concentration in the first and last round and hits the canvas; remember Holt?
    - Was Round 1 10-8? I'm still not too sure but I think it should have been ruled a knock down.
    - I thought all rounds were easy to score except for the 11th, I scored it for Ruslan on here but I won't argue those who think Bradley won.
    - Bradley won the boxing match but Ruslan won the fight.
    - Bradley was out on his feet several times, it's amazing the will and determination of this guy. Not to mention he's in crazy condition; vegan diet for the win.
    - Ruslan's face was fucked up, but they were mostly superficial markings. Bradley took more punishment even though it didn't show on the surface.
    - Roach was a damn fool in the corner and had little advice to offer as usual. Not to mention he was out of line wanting to stop the fight when Ruslan's power kept him in the fight every minute.
    - Ruslan Provodnikov blew the fight by giving so many rounds away and letting Bradley outwork him.
    - Let's keep in mind that Ruslan was moving up from 140 and Bradley outweighed him considerably, yet Tim was hurt bad several times throughout the fight.
    - Bradley sounded punch drunk in the post fight interview, I think this fight took some years off his prime.

You forgot the 2 times Bradley sat on the ropes.

Amazing fight. Props to both men.

You're talking about round 7 correct?

It really was a great fight and very fun to analyze and dissect. For those who only watched it once, I strongly recommend you to give it another viewing and carefully study all the mayhem that ensued.

I couldn't enjoy this fight at all the first time, being a Bradley fan. He's lucky as hell he didn't lose this fight.

I hope this didn't force Bradley past his prime.

It was a great fight to watch, a bit disappointed how Bradley got dragged into a dog fight by Provo, and yea the first round should have been a 10-8 round to Provo, I mean Bradley fell on his face 3 times! Even Zab Judah was stopped by the ref after one stumble.

            Tha first round wasn't a 10-8.

A good example of a 10-8 round w/o a knockdown is bomba vs jason escalera

Yeah, there were so many moments I thought Bradley was gonna fold, he was really dragged through the trenches.

If you watch the last round, Bradley was ready to be stopped but was saved by the final bell.

On another note, Roy Jones was ridiculously bias towards Bradley the entire night.

I actually watched it a few days ago and had the same scorecard 114-113 Bradley. Pretty easy fight to score as far as rounds won, except for the 11th where I saw Provodnikov edging it out . Rounds 1, 2, and 7 could easily have been 10-8 rounds . Bradley was visibly out on his feet but somehow stayed up and kept swinging. A hell of a fight and I think Provodnikov punched himself out after the first two rounds on top of the fact Bradley started fighting smarter.

He tried to hard to convice us Bradley wasn't hurt or that he was getting the better of the exchanges. One instance he was telling kellerman in the 7th round that Provodnikov wasn't going to be able hurt Bradley anymore, and there goes Bradley against the ropes Lol.
