Sergio or Paul Williams compares to Hagler,Hearns,Duran or Benitez. Dont try to use the so called weakest name to prove a point.

IMO, that is the only true "duck" of Mayweather's career.
Worst post of the year .
Add 9 names to that list.

When a fighter has threats around him and retires with great cause , its still looked at like a duck . And floyd didnt have great cause.
Floyd is an opportunist. Wake up

          Vacations are great
No need in even mentioning Top Rank fighters we all know those fights can't and won't happen..Soon as Cotto left he got the fight

Who am I going to listen to every respected fighter and trainer or a geek who never fought decisions decisions. In ten years or so Floyd and Lebron are probably going to be call the greatest ever in there sports because the generation of fans who watch them now will be the ones with the pen and wont have clue or care what Jordan or a Ray Robinson did in the past.

Wow...you are the one that made the initial comparison...dont get on me when it blows up in your face.

Cotto may be a name as was MOsely but these guys were not in their primes...and no matter how many paper titles or rankings you dress them up with, they were what they were when he fought them.

at the time he fought them they were both recognized as the best in their respective weights. or am I wrong?

thats just more dressing. was cotto the toughest fight at 154? hell no. he was the shiniest name in a weak division. and we all (should) know that.

again, was cotto a worthless, nothing opponent? of course not. but dont defend the fight as if it was a career defining/boosting matchup.

mosley was a good fight but to JUST call him the "best" at ww is to ignore his form at the time.

we can;t pick and choose what criteria to use when assessing a fight

The irony in Mosley's case is Mayweather himself said as much and to the ignorant masses, that translated to fear. I remember clearly that Mayweather said Mosley had lost too many times and he wouldn't get credit for beating him. Immediately, "Floyd's afraid" threads popped up faster than McD's in China. He then beats him and all we hear is that Mayweather waited for Mosley to get old, wilfully ignoring that Mosley went on vacation when a fight was offered previously (circa 2006). Gotta have some truth in the criticism.
