Bob Arum says he can make "Rigondeaux-Lomachenko" in 2014

What do you think guys? It can happen next year! Is it too early for Lomachenko?

I would pefer Loma to get at least 4-5 pro fights under his belt first. In terms of am talent and achievement, they're two of the best the sport has ever produced, but Loma needs to acclimatise to the pros to make it more balanced IMO.

I'd look for 2015, unless Arum keeps him very busy over the next 12 months.

I'm a huge fan of Loma, but I wouldn't count on it. Can see it going Late TKO or to the judges. Both fighters are too good at not getting hit.

unless he gets cut or injured he doesnt need more than 6-8 weeks to get 4-5 fights under his belt. when you are starting out you generally stay very busy. its not about fighting a good number of random guys in the pros though, its about fighting quality guys or even just one. but you have to work up to that and thats what takes time, he will need more than 4-5 fights imo.

but it could easily be made around this time next year if arum keeps loma busy and really picks his opponents well, not just random guys but guys who serve a purpose and get increasingly better.

How about a fight against WV2 before fighting Rigo.

That's the normal course of events, but Arum's looking to get him position for a title fight soon: first fight Jose Ramirez 25(15)-3-0 - WBO #7 (boxrec at #48), I think the plan is to get him a title shot in 4-5 fights - certainly aiming to beat Rigos 9th fight title win.
