Comments Thread For: Bradley: The Timing Wasn't Right For a Pacquiao Rematch

The October 12 pay-per-view headliner between Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez–which takes place at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas–seemed like a natural pairing, a matchup of two fighters who claimed wins over Manny Pacquiao at separate points in 2012.

Yet there are many who question why they chose each other over what would conceivably be a far more lucrative return bout with Pacquiao – for Bradley, a rematch, while a fifth encounter for Marquez.

Buzz for a Bradley-Pacquiao sequel never really gained momentum, largely due to its own promoter–Bob Arum–playing down such an affair at the time. The claim back then was that an immediate rematch would raise further su****ion over an already questionable verdict, in which Bradley scored a major upset via a widely unpopular split decision last June in Las Vegas. " Money isn't everything "- Bob Arum. What a crock. If Bradley wanted to be in the fans good graces then there should have been a rematch, plain and simple. I like Bradley but the casual fan could care less and probably never heard of Provo either.

Bradley full of sht. He was the one insisting he'd win in the prefight Interviews and even have a sign saying November will be the rematch date of that year. Till he got his ass kicked, changed his mind.

Bradley wanted an immediate rematch. it was pac who didnt want it saying here clearly won the fight and had nothing to prove. His fans were saying the exact same thing. Pacfans got that selective memory. if pac has to beg people to get fights now he only has himself to blame

If I remember correctly, Bradley did want an immediate rematch with Pacquiao but Manny said he already won the first fight and had nothing more to prove. Instead, Manny chose to fight JMM. Honestly, it's not really a big deal. If Manny and Bradley both win, there will be a rematch.

I wouldn't be suprised if Bradley beats Marquez handily. Nobody thought he'd beat Pacquiao but he ended Pacs streak and "gave him a boxing lesson"

How can he put Ruslan in the same category with Marquez or Pac?
He is a boxing fans VANILLA, when they all want cookies and cream. He lost to Pac and to Ruslan, PERIOD
