  • Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Amir Khan - Who Wins?

It's not official as yet but there seems to be a good chance this could be Floyd's next fight. Like nearly all Mayweather opponents, Khan won't be given much of a shot by the vast majority.

Do you think Khan could somehow hold his own against Mayweather or is the Mayweather victory just simply another formality, which is usually the case regardless of who Mayweather fights..

Nearly anyone you put in front of Mayweather seems destined to lose from before the first bell, but this fight against Khan is sure to at least offer more excitement than usual simply because of the style match up. And because of Khan's questionable defenses, Mayweather will almost certainly press for the KO which should add to the entertainment factor quite significantly.

As long as CJ Ross isn't there... Floyd by a landslide decision. Amir has been knocked down by less skillful fighters than Floyd.

Even a feather fisted Mayweather can KO Khan, I wont be ordering this fight even with a good under card.

I wonder if they're hoping to put Garcia - Matthysse II on the under? That could sell the event.

As to the poll, let's face it. Only the first 2 options are really required..

Garcia-Matthyse is not happening again till Mayweather gets Garcia first. Am sure some like Thurman would be on the undercard in preparation for him fighting Mayweather in 2015 if possible but Garcia would be ease into a Mayweather fight soon but not now.

To me, only fighters who have the similar abilities as Cotto and the 2011 Pacquiao can beat Mayweather IF ( and it's a big one) they come with a meticulous gameplan and a mental made out of steel. For Instance, a Cotto will have to put more jabs even if it doesn't suit with his style.

Does Khan have the abilities? I think so. Does Khan have the mental strenght? I don't think so.

That is why I will pick Mayweather because he's got the skills and the mental strenght.

Canelo, Mosley and Cotto all had the tools to beat Mayweather. But they didn't have the brain Mayweather had.

I want to see Khan vs Alexander first.

                  Floyd v Khan

A total waste of time, will do nothing for Floyd's reputation beating an unranked

opponent. Let's see Amir earn his shot. From a UK perspective Brook and even

Gavin have more credentials. They are at least unbeaten "welterweights".

Floyd against Thurman or Bradley, if he beats JMM, would be my choice.

I'll put money on Khan landing more punches on Floyd than Canelo did and winning more rounds

However once Floyd starts timing him, Khan will get hurt, the speed will only dazzle Floyd for around 3 -4 rounds

Khan however has a lot of heart unlike Canelo, he will take risks and go out fighting.

No way will this fight be boring
