Let me start off by saying that I was ringside at the Gatti fight in AC at the "ThunderDome" as Gatti now calls it and what a night. Yes Gatti is back and has put himself in great position to be the welterweight champion of the world if he beats Baldomir.
But let me tell you about Litzau since it was a non televised fight. I know a lot of ppl on here base his skills on the fight against Nolasco over the summer on ESPN, which is wrong, but let me tell you he looked sharp against contreas his toughtest opponet yet and he stopped him in the 6th. He brought his defense to another level, put his punches together well, he just looked 5 times better than he did against nolasco. The defense is what suprised me the most, Litzau barely got hit againt a pressuring fighter who has fought numerous championship bouts nad who has fought Johnny Tapia.
The defense might have came from pernell whitikar who was ringside yelling instructions at Jay, after the fight Jay called sweet pea into the ring to pose for a few photos with him. Anyway a great night all around on saturday and its only goin to get better w/ Malignaggi fightin next week.
*also this kid Henry Crawford looked good last night too, he go off the deck to win a good fight, and on another note, this kid Malik Scott a heavyweight is horrible, this is the 2nd time in a row he put on a snooze fest when I went to the AC, garbage.
