It's a good fight but Bradley's Top Rank contract doesn't run out until the middle of next year.

Although it's only for the mid-2014, at least we have someone ready to leave Top Rank in order to fight FMJr.

I'm probably crazy and biased, but I think Bradley could sneak a couple rounds off Mayweather and give him a fight. I really do. Hopefully he beats Marquez and can get away from Top Rank in time to make a Mayweather fight. Bradley would deserve the fight more than anyone else if he gets past Hulkez.

I had given Bradley a shot at making it a competitive fight before the Provodnikov fight, but as of right now, Bradley wouldn't stand a chance. He can't outboxes Floyd in the center of the ring, and he tends to lose focus and start throwing wide sloppy hooks on the inside, Floyd would beat him.

If bradley beats JMM the floyd tim fight would establish a lineal champ (for those who dont have floyd as lineal) since they would be the 2 best ww's in the world and would be the best all american ww title fight in a very long time.

I think floyd will win but Tim at least will provide a different type of challenge. Besides, i think we all can agree thats better than floyd v khan.

I really wish HBO and SHowtime would just trade tim for Matthysse. letthem keep their promoters.

Agreed. A win over Marquez and the way he closed strongly in the championship rounds against Pacquiao on two bad ankles is enough for me.

A win on October 12th and this is the fight to make at 147. He only has 1 year left with Top Rank so maybe he can fight Alvarado/Ruslan and Pacquiao/Rios next year to set up a Mayweather fight in 2015.

It's unfortunate for Bradley that if he beats Marquez, he'll almost certainly end up fighting and losing to Pacquiao after that. So when the time comes to jump, no one will care because he just lost to Pac.

Bradley can box but he gets too reckless. He does it all the time and will do it again vs Marquez and may get stopped because of it. I like Tim but he's not disciplined enough to beat Floyd, among other variables.

I agree. I think Timmy's style troubles the **** outta Floyd. I would pick Floyd to win a 7-5 type decision.

Personally, I've considered Floyd the lineal weltrweight champ since he beat Baldomir. I think the majority of those who consider him the lineal champ trace it back to the Mosley fight. That said, I think Timmy would be his best option if he beats JMM. And personally, even with the GBP-Top Rank issues, I think its a makeable fight. Bradley isn't a draw. And win, lose, or draw, Pac-JMM is always sellable. So I think Arum might be willing to let Floyd buy Bradley outta his contract to make a fight with Floyd. And I'm pretty sure Arum would work it out where in the event of a rematch, he could be the primary promoter. And he would probably like to have Bradley back for at least a fight after he's done with Floyd.
