Mayweather vs Garcia @ 140?

Wouldn't it be crazy and off the wall if Floyd fought Garcia @ 140lbs? Floyd would be lineal champ in 5 divisions and will hold lineal belts at WW,JMW, and JWW at the same time with a win... His dad and uncles all say he's a 140lber fighting at welterweight anyway so why not?

Thoughts on this? Does anyone give Danny a slightly better chance @ 140lbs?

Danny wouldn't win if Floyd was blindfolded. And Danny is the best 140lber out there, and probably the most deserving out of the available fighters that floyd can fight.

I don't think either of them can make 140 comfortably anymore. Floyd hasn't fought there in 8 years so moving down wouldn't be a good idea.

Mayweather vs Garcia a year from now at 147, I think Danny will defend his 140 pound belt one more time, moved up to make a welterweight debut against anybody on top of the WBC rankings, Abregu, Bundu or Jessie Vargas, and if he wins, we may talk about a 46-0 Mayweather (after he beats Khan) against a 29-0 Garcia, this will be huge as May-Canelo.

For history, it would be great for Floyd as if beat Garcia at 140 he would be the lineal JWW Champ. That would make him the lineal JWW, WW and JMW Champions with a very SMALL possibility of fighting Martinez for the MW lineal title before he retires. Yet we all know (like the Mosley fight) haters will cry like the cowards they are about how old Martinez is right after saying Floyd would never fight him. lol

At the end of the day, I would much rather see Mayweather Garcia at JWW than a ****ty ass Khan fight.

I think he can make 140 I just don't think he wants or will try to. He told Marquez he can make 144 but wanted to come in at 146. Danny has nothing left to prove at 140 so its time for him to move up.

I think that is what he should do. He would be sharper than ever at 140 and he is out of Garcia's class even though Garcia is a very good fighter. He would be a lineal champ at 140.I would have thought of him as the lineal champ at 154 for beating Canelo if he had beat him at the full weight of 154 which he easily could have done.I can't accept winning a lineal title at anything but the full weight limit for that class.
