Chavez kos Vera in the rematch. He had Vera hurt in the first fight a couple of times even tho I thought Vera won. If Chavez actually prepares well for this fight and brings back roach and ariza things won't be the same as the first fight.not a Chavez fan just being honest

I was at the Chavez-Vera fight... Let me say this first I am a chavez fan because his dad is my favorite fighter of all time.. With that said I did not see Chavez Jr. lose the fight but I also did not see him win the fight.. I saw it as a draw... Reason being.. when you saw Chavez Jr. getting hit by Vera's punches the feeling you got was "it's just punches, part of boxing".. But whenever you saw Vera getting hit by Chavez Jr.'s punches you really felt bad for Vera because nobody should take those kind of shots to the face... Also I really think if the fight was a 12 round bout, Chavez would've finished Vera off.. Then again at the end of the fight Chavez Jr. did look worse then Vera in the face. But some fighters bruise easier than others especially if they have fought wars throughout their careers

This fight is not necessary. It is not like Vera is going to fight any different. Jr will come better prepared and will be an easy fight for him. This fight keeps Jr away from real contenders. Happy for Vera getting another payday.

Looks like every time Jr loses a fight and gets an immediate rematch. Matt Vanda and Molina. At least he doesn't run away from it, except for Zbik

            people, remember Vanda??......
JCCJr will whip Vera if he trains half right......waste of time really...

All this sympathy that people have for Vera sickens me......Vera wouldnt even have been in a position to land the fight if he hadnt been the recipient of a gift decision versus Sergio Mora in their rematch.

A rematch in Texas would provide Jr a safe haven for all the drugs he would need.

Junior may have strained his hand from lifting a heavy fork but he sure as hell never broke his hand. His fighting in December proves it was horse 5hit.

I'd like Vera to be on the next card as compensation for his efforts, but not in a rematch. Chavez should be fighting Bika or someone of that nature to set-up a fight with Froch/Ward. Or he should go straight to GGG/Marteiz.
                  Agreed...!

Texas? Really? You mean TX, as in the place where Jr doesn't haveta take a P test after the fight? And the place with equally corrupt judges as in the original fight? And Jr? The guy who simply will not devote himself to the sport? Yeah sure, bring it on. Same result as last time, especially with Sr and his thug Cartel buddies in the picture... but at least Vera gets another good payday. (rolls eyes)

                      Yea

Chavez might not get a fair shake in Vera's home state.
