    1/2 point scoring?

Look at Alberto Rossel's last fight against Jose Alfredo Zuniga. One of the judges scored the bout 117 1/2-112. How do you score a round with a half point?

judge: David Singh 116-116 | judge: Jesus Cova 117½-112 | judge: Raul Nieves 115-113

Argentina often uses the half point system and so does the WBA on occasion. What it means if a round is very close, you can give a 10-9 1/2 rather than the standard 10-9. It can definitely have an effect on bouts depending if the fighters are barely shading rounds or winning them more clearly.
