And every single one of your "favorite" fighters is a Black guy??? Projection much?? Do you like ANY non Black fighters???
Plus my brother worked in a High School in Harlem and according to him the Black students never cared when Ricans used the N word...It's only when a white dude like Riley Cooper says it that it's an issue (which I can understand) most Ricans including Garcia have black blood in them.
Garcias dad seems borderline insane anyway....Can't be a racist if you're messed up in the headComment

Tell you the truth Paul I don't even watch or read much of the pressers and will admit I grossly underestimated Danny. I thought Matty would blow him out but he showed to be a class and ever improving fighter.Comment

1. Historically African Americans and Puerto Ricans of any shade always get along.
2. Danny Garcia is a good boxer so he should get support from all races.
3. I actually think Danny and his father identify themselves as black. You hear it alot in their interviews like Angel saying people thought his son was white when he would fight. Last time I checked Puerto Rican is not a race.
Finally, the only people that don't care if the word end in "er" or "a" are the racist. Whether you mean to or not you play into the racists hands every time you use that word. That's my two cents anyway.Comment

I'm rican, and myself and every black person around me uses it every day. With the a at the end. Not sure where I confused you at.Black people don't say that to each other that (n-word ending with an er).
That and the other word have two different meanings.
For you to say that let's me know your either white, or some sellout black person (if your gonna make an excuses for someone calling a black person the n-word).Comment

Wtf??? Angel or Danny have never refered to themselves as blacks. Americans or Puerto Rican decent is what I hear.1. Historically African Americans and Puerto Ricans of any shade always get along.

The irony is that everyone of the Op's favorite fighters are Black....If all of your favorite fighters are the same race as you there is something wrong with you.
Puerto Rican is not a race....There are Afro Puerto Ricans like Tito Trindad, Roberto Clemente etc (minority) and White Puerto Ricans of Spanish/Portuguese descent (minority) but most are a mix of Black, White, and Taino Indian....Garcia definitely looks to be your typical mixed Rican so a mix of Black, White and Taino Indian.
The Caribbean Hispanics like Ricans, Dominicans and Cubans generally have more African blood in them than the mainland Hispanics of Central and South America. Brazil and Colombia are the exceptions.Last edited by animalfan10; 10-01-2013, 10:21 AM.Comment
