Ortiz has been out a long time so him fighting a guy like Gomez makes a lot of sense, really they should take it slow with him getting your jaw smashed is a tough mental block to overcome.

Bailey would also work kind of but he has too much power on the off chance he lands something clean.

I'm a Gomez guy and Gomez will put the pressure on Ortiz. He'll look to crack his jaw again... at least crowd his space. It'll result in either guy getting KO'd IMO

I like this fight, wish it would get done...

I think ortiz handlers may not like this fight, as ortiz been out along time, and gomez is just as dangerous as say a josito lopez.....

I also like the bailey-ortiz matchup,,,, but bailey got alittle too much power and would be dangerous....

ortiz's camp is looking for easy tune-up because the long term plan is for a floyd rematch based on the controversy from the sucker punch,, if ortiz looks good in his comeback fight, he will be heavily looked at for a possible floyd fight....

I imagine that a guy like cano will get the call

very possible,,, but canelo would kick his arse, and then def no floyd rematch..

if im ortiz's handlers i look for easy fights, then floyd rematch,, if he loses to floyd-its no biggie, and he can still fight canelo afterwards,, but lose to canelo before a floyd rematch and you cant get the floyd....
