I would bet that 1-0 is an average score and how exiting can a game that ends 1-0 after 90 minutes possibly be? And with all that ridiculous flopping around just to try to get a penalty. The game is boring with a capital BOR. I will tell you what they need to do to open up the game. Get rid of the off sides and let them play the game. Look at indoor soccer now that is a pretty exciting sport. As far as the NFL is concerned there are only 32 teams in the world and it did $10,000,000,000 in business last year.

And that is the we feel about american football. Soccer is just boring to us. I have tried to watch it but its just god awful. Bunch of skinny dudes kicking the ball up and down the fieldevevery once in a while taking a shot at the goal. But i dont judge ppl who like it. We are just different here

A game that ends 1-0 can be very exciting. You think it's boring because you don't understand the rules and not from a country were football/soccer is a major part of society so that's why you think it's boring. Football/Soccer is the biggest and most popular sport in the world and almost like a religion in many countries. Millions of people around the world grow up with football/soccer and it turns into a lifestyle. Just like most people outside America don't know anything about american football so many think it's boring as hell but Americans love it. I mean american football is part of american culture so of course you are going to love it.....but to the average person who don't know much of the sport it's going to be boring as f_uck.

I never said it was not popular because it certainly is. But it is still a boring sport and hard to watch for 90 minutes. I think most fans must get so drunk that they don't notice how boring it is. And if most NFL games ended in 3-0 score it was also be A boring sport.

When I was young soccer happened to be very popular where I grew up. We never played baseball or organized football because soccer ruled and I played the sport, on league teams, from the age of 6 until I was 14. And the only reason I stopped playing was because I moved away from Baltimore to area where it was not popular. So don't assume just because I believe that it is boring that I don't understand the game and how it is played. If you want proof just Google "East Baltimore soccer" and read some of the articles of when amateur soccer was king in the city of Baltimore.
