It was hard not to feel bad for Brian Vera on Saturday night.

Facing off with a much bigger Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on HBO’s airwaves inside of the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., Vera fought as spirited of a battle as can be expected over the course of ten hard-fought rounds.

When the fight had finished, scorecards reading 98-92, 97-93, and 96-94 all favored Chavez, who improved his record to 47-1-1 with 32 knockouts while Vera fell to 23-7 with 14 knockouts.

Call me crazy but I wouldn't be shocked if there was some threats going on here. I know the Chavez family is close with some Cartel members and I would hate to think that they are involved in boxing but it wouldn't surprise me.

I think people are scared to speak up and I don't blame them.

I was wondering why Chavez Sr...

I noticed later in the fight Chavez Sr. wasn't in Chavez Jr. corner, during Jr's. one minute breaks, I was saying to myself Vera is busting up Chavez's Junior's face and is on his way of winning the fight. Where was Chavez Sr., bathroom break, hmm.

The Chavez fight was fixed vera got hosed

Sad for Vera to win a fight he clearly won. It was a fixed fight period and the judges should be hung. An investigation has to be held. Thanks to Virgil for calling the fix out.
