IMO Cotto could make WW without being drained. I think Cotto doesn't want to make WW because (1) he doesnt want to worry too much about nutrition (2) lighter gloves.

I've been having doubts about Cotto's commitment since he dumped that Cuban trainer who seemed to be about getting Cotto in shape for 12 instead of the midfight stoppage.

As Cotto fan, I'd prefer an Alvarez fight because I think it provides a set of circumstances likely to generate the best possible Cotto;

1) Most would probably pick Canelo to beat him.

2) This win would give a big boost to his decaying career trajectory.

3) Properly sold, this is a big money event and everybody likes money.
