WBC Executive Secretary Mauricio Sulaiman spoke just moments ago and informed that the puse bids for Jermain Taylor - Ronald "Winky" Wright have been postponed for a ten day period. "Both parties involved- Lou DiBella and Gary Shaw jointly requested a postponement of thepurse bids originally scheduled for here in Cancun tomorrow (Monday, January 30). The WBC responded affirmatively and granted the request. We will now hold the purse bids in the WBC offices in Mexico City," stated Sulaiman. "As long as both parties are in agreement, so are we." Stay tuned for updates on the fight in the middleweight division that the boxing world needs to see.

he wanted 50/50 then to have the fight done then and there, but since that didnt happen and winky is the wbc mandatory and taylor has to fight him or be stripped it will go to a purse bid where both fighters are most likley gonna lose a good bit of money and winky might not get his 50/50 but the fight will happen at a later time

apperently taylor cant get the fight signed with solimon and if he doesnt come january 10th he is screwed and he really does have to fight winky, i dont understand though he if gets the fight with soli that he wont be stripped, something like that, HBO gotta protect there little boy

Here let me tell you how it actually happened.He fought a fighter smaller than himself moving up,by the name of DLH who looked pretty chunkified,not really fat,but not in the best shape of his life either.Strum loses a decision that he probably should have won.Bernard Hopkins fights the same fighter who comes in in far better shape and KO's him.K?

Secondly,he Turns down a fight with Taylor.
