Of course he didn't. Please fight a real super middle or light heavy (someone your own size) so we can see you get beat badly. I had it for Vera 96-94, although I did have Chavez winning the tenth.

I gave Chavez 3 to 4 rounds and Vera 6 to 7 rounds. Just cause you land a couple telling shots don't mean you won the round, when you getting hit with hard shots most of the round.

Because Jr has gotten away with so much he thinks that all he has to do is land some telling punches and that will win him the fight (which it did).

Now Jr will get any opportunity for a title that he wants

I had it a draw. I would struggle to have given Chavez anything more. I could see a solid argument for giving Vera 1-2 more rounds and thus the win.

The 8 rounds to 2 scorecard was corrupt. There is no other explanation.

Really somebody should start up a website that collates all these scores and marks which ones are clearly corrupt so we can shine a light on these judges.

Vera was only supposed to be an easy tune up fight for Chavez. Vera is a small middle weight from ESPN and should probably fight at 154...Chavez is a light heavy and got his ass handed to him...he looked terrible. If Chavez ever goes up against a light heavyweight say like Stevenson he gets KO's within 4 rounds.

Chavez looked awful in there. Vera showed Chavez Jr what a fighter is supposed to do. I genuinely think Jr is deluded if he thinks he won that comfortably. His general attitude to the sport is something of a disgrace.
