    Adonis Stevenson retained the WBC light heavyweight title when a badly cut Tavoris Cloud failed to answer the bell for the eighth round in Montreal. Challenger Cloud suffered a second successive loss as a nasty gash above his right eye left him unable to continue. He also had a cut on his left eyelid that he sustained in the opening round of the bout at the Bell Centre after being on the wrong end of a stiff left hand from the champion.

    Next up for the Haitian-born southpaw will be a defense against mandatory Tony Bellew, with the British fighter having watched on at ringside on Saturday night.

              hes been saving face since he was on the telecast for the dawson KO1 fight with bunce telling him thats who hed be facing

                          I try to get behind British fighters, but Bellew is an utter tool. He talks like he's some sort of iron-chinned KO artist, whereas as the reality is completely different. A boring fighter who is nowhere near world level.

                              Can't see why anyone wouldn't want him to win. He's an honest, working class lad and a proper boxing fan (posted on ESB before he even got big).

                              I don't think he is as good as he thinks he is and have to agree with TSD above with some of what he said. But Tony has a heart of iron will. He really wants this fight to become champ!

                              I'll be rooting for him and would have gone if they could have got it in Liverpool.
