Based on their last performances. . .

Broner and Chavez jr are in the same boat right now. They are big names in the sport, they have the possibility to become good one day , but as of right now theyre just hype, they don't take their nutrition seriously either.

Broner is definitely overhyped but he's wayyyy better than Chavez. Broner was fighting a current champion who is actually underrated. Paulie may not have power but he is smart and uses good movement. He's been a tough out for every fighter he's faced. Vera, on the other hand, is a journeyman who gave a spirited effort. He was also blown up almost 15lbs.

As far as weight, they both need to do better and take the sport more seriously. But Broner always comes to the ring in good shape. He did miss weight against Escobedo however. Chavez is a whole different story. He doesn't take anything seriously.

They are not comparable. Broner moved up in weight to fight Malignaggi, a gatekeeper at this point in time, and clearly won the fight. Chavez Jr. had a fight take place 13lb above the agreed upon weight, against a journey man, and still needed the help of the judge to win.

Broner is already good, Chavez Jr. is shit.

Broner and Chavez aren't even close in comparison. Broner show alot more dedication to the sport than Chavez. This is the second fight in a row Jr come out looking like crap. Look as if he just got out of bed, went to the arena for the fight, and headed to back to the bed to continue his slacking. If he doesn't respect the sport it's one thing but you would think he would at least respect his name.

Jr is the son of a boxing legend/icon....he grew up kinda privileged....I know this may sound crazy but I think the kid was dealt a bad hand in the sense of becoming great in this sport....he may not have the same drive and dedication others in the sport have...who knows?!? ....coming from nothing makes you work harder for something imo
