That would be a good fight if it would ever come about.

Maybe he's saying that cause Macklin actually beat a champ for his title, though he didn't get the decision. He'd also competed well at the top 10 level several times. Hassan had never fought a top tenner before QuillinComment

I also stated that Quillin and Jacobs would be good fights for him where I would consider him elite. I think both of those fights could have been made. You can argue Quillin, but I think the fight could of happened. And Danny Jacobs has no problem with the fight either. Had he beat 1 out of 2 of these guys, I would agree that GGG is this monster you all claim.Comment

I can't say who would win this fight, but it would be each one's toughest test. People who think Ward would dominate are idiots. Golovkin has never looked bad, Ward looked pretty bad against Boone. Golovkin has been in the ring enough times for us to know that he can hang with world class athletes.
Ward has a very tough style, he faints and times like Roy Jones, but has a very tough inside game and he can tie up and spoil like Hopkins.
GGG has tremendous accuracy and he doesn't "box" he applies pressure and ambushes fighters when they react defensively. He hits so hard, and from so many angles, and he just anticipates and creats the openings so well. Ward can out box traditional boxers all day long, but with GGG he might be out gunned and frustrated.
I haven't seen GGG fight a guy like Ward, but I suspect Ward will spoil a lot of GGG's offense because he is so strong and likes to tie up or stay out of range. Ward will struggle with GGG's longer reach, power, and the non-stop offensive aggression.
Awesome fight!Comment
