GGG should avoid this bout at all costs. Ward would make him lok oh so bad. GGG vs Froch is much more fun.

saw both of these guys 5min apart in Times Square and Ward is a good deal bigger so I would be shocked if Triple G jumped at the fight but you never know

Martinez doesn't have that many money fights left..... if he does fight Cotto in Spring.... what else does he have?
Also, Canelo trying to target Cotto for the Spring. I know he's back with HBO and Top Rank, but i don't think it's like an extended contract.

WArd is always so serious when talking about GGG or when he's around him.

Ward knows he should fear any man that rocks a pink cardigan

What makes you think Ward would make him look bad?

I think this one would be more competitive than the most think. Genady's skills are very underrated. He's much more than power puncher. If you doubt watch him fights Dirrell in amateurs.

Ward's style and skill would be very tough for Golovkin to deal with. He'd get tied up whenever he got close to Ward and have trouble finding him.

if you don't think golovkin is a very good fighter there's something you're not seeing. he's got a great chin, a very technical offense, and he's probably the hardest pound for pound puncher in boxing. his jab is turning into one of the best in the sport
                      .

That's is the only reason why people are blowing that win out of proportion, because he gave Martinez a hard fight, but was still knocked out. He didn't win, and that was an injured Martinez.

I never said that he wasn't a good fighter. I'm basically saying that hes overrated and unproven against elite middleweights such as Quillin, Martinez ect and his next fight is a lose/lose situation as Stevens isn't elite either.

Hardest puncher in boxing? I think Mathysse, Wladmiir and Alvarez may have something to say about that.

he knocked bute out in the amateurs. he won the worlds in a non olympic year. he beat dirrell, despaigne, korobov, and others.

i'd obviously pick ward to beat golovkin at this stage.
                      ........................................
part of my post was humorous, but it's based in reality. that's kind of my thing. ward's been leveraging for money lately. it's plainly obvious. after the super six, a tournament and contract which he entered when he wasn't a draw at all, the man wanted to get paid. i don't blame him. he's the planet's second best fighter. floyd mayweather is the planet's highest paid athlete. ward wants some of that money. ward had a disgusted look on his face, and i humorously referenced it in regard to his current pay grade. when you contrast it with golovkin, who smiles from ear to ear and looks like his mother dresses him, it's a funny picture.
I find parts of this one humorous as well, like this last paragraph.
golovkin would beat mayweather. he'd stop him. either that, or floyd would be on his bike all night. miguel cotto had mayweather on the ropes, and he hit him with jabs. the golovkin fight would end with floyd taking punishment. floyd will never even fight him. he's a true middleweight. he was a middleweight in the amateurs. the guy is huge, experienced, has a great chin, and is extremely powerful.
If you consider "being on his bike all night" Mayweather out boxing and pot shotting him to death, then yes you are right. People don't seem to understand that Mayweather is on the ropes because he wants to be, just look at his last fight. The few times that he was actually on the ropes, he was countering with precise right hands. I think people forget the issues that Ouma and Rosado gave Golovkin. Cotto and Oscar were landing jab's because they are excellent boxers in addition to punchers. Golovkin only jab's to find away inside. That's his game, is to pressure but skillfully come inside but hes a pressure fighter. GGG couldn't get on his toes and box like Cotto could. Hes far less dimensional.
