Andre Ward looked great in his last fight. So did GGG. I look forward to that fight. Hopefully these guys make it past their upcoming assignments without serious injuries that require time off and rehab. Let's get this fight on.

Good fight but GGG will get embarrassed. I would much rather see GGG fight Froch, Kessler or even Martinez before thinking about fighting Ward.

Who has he ever beat to suggest that this guy would KO Ward and Mayweather like so many people on here say??? So many people are quick to call greats like Mayweather, Ward and Pacquiao frauds for "cherry picking" their opponents, yet here's some dude who hasn't beaten anyone and everyone's saying he'll KO anyone put in front of him..geez

Man shut the hell up. I've never seen a boxer make grown men ***** and complain like I've seen with Golovkin recently on here. Ward, Mayweather and Pac all fought absolutely nobody til they got their chances either. Golovkin's climbing up the ladder, it's not out the realm of possibility he reaches the top and potentially beat someone like Ward

And why would he say that? He did no such things against better fighters like Froch, Kessler, and Dawson but for reason he'll fear and demand more money, against an unproven (on the elite level) blown up middleweight? People really need to calm down with this dude. He's a good middleweight CONTENDER (champion if you include his paper belt) that hasn't even fought or beaten the best fighter in his own division. I don't even think he would beat Mayweather, let alone Ward. Cut it out people.

i'll start with gennady golovkin:
golovkin absolutely destroyed matt macklin. macklin isn't a true talent, but he's one of the better middleweights on the planet, and he gave martinez a hard fight.

if you don't think golovkin is a very good fighter there's something you're not seeing. he's got a great chin, a very technical offense, and he's probably the hardest pound for pound puncher in boxing. his jab is turning into one of the best in the sport.

he knocked bute out in the amateurs. he won the worlds in a non olympic year. he beat dirrell, despaigne, korobov, and others.

i'd obviously pick ward to beat golovkin at this stage.

part of my post was humorous, but it's based in reality. that's kind of my thing. ward's been leveraging for money lately. it's plainly obvious. after the super six, a tournament and contract which he entered when he wasn't a draw at all, the man wanted to get paid. i don't blame him. he's the planet's second best fighter. floyd mayweather is the planet's highest paid athlete. ward wants some of that money. ward had a disgusted look on his face, and i humorously referenced it in regard to his current pay grade. when you contrast it with golovkin, who smiles from ear to ear and looks like his mother dresses him, it's a funny picture.


golovkin would beat mayweather. he'd stop him. either that, or floyd would be on his bike all night. miguel cotto had mayweather on the ropes, and he hit him with jabs. the golovkin fight would end with floyd taking punishment. floyd will never even fight him. he's a true middleweight. he was a middleweight in the amateurs. the guy is huge, experienced, has a great chin, and is extremely powerful.
