    Lets be honest...

It is surely commendable that guy with almost zero natural athletic talent outlanded a guy like Chavez jr, But to label the fight a robbery when Vera did not land a single significant blow in the entire fight is preposterous. People that think this probably also think Paulie beat Broner. This is not how I believe fights should be scored, this isn't Olympic boxing.

Chavez wobbled him because he is a much bigger fighter. He got outworked and outlanded. Once he steps up to 168 its a wrap

What is a significant blow to you? Vera landed many clean power shots and was backing the bigger man up. If he had to visibly hurt Chavez to win the fight, he never had a chance. Basically, what you are saying is that Chavez can challenge almost any MW to a fight. Then push the limit to LHW and he wins because the MW can't hurt him.

Did you have your eyes closed when Chavez's head was being snapped back and sweat was flying?

Chavez also probably outweighed him by 20 lbs, of course that's supposed to happen. Vera was pushing JR almost the entire fight, landing A LOT Of shots. Whether they were hurting JR or not, he was still getting points for that. JR landing 2 or 3 significant shots a round doesn't make him win it.

Chavez fans really reaching. Ver was backing him up from time to time, landed the clean shots and landed more on Jr. He lost, period.

You know you've seen this happen many times in Boxing and let me tell you why.

2 things that a LOT of BOXING fans do is cheer for the underdog midway through the fight when the underdog is doing great even though he has no business being in the same ring as his opponent. This has happened many times to people because we naturally want the underdog to win. We always cheer against the Yankees, Lakers, Mayweathers, Patriots etc

Another thing is that casual boxing fans always tend to overrate power punchers over anything else. We saw that recently happen in the Garcia/Matthysse fight. Even prefight people were making up reasons saying Garcia was scared because he didn't sign. Then he was forced to sign after the fight was made.
